Therefore, Hue University is dedicated to: Training highly qualified human resources to contribute to the development of the country, especially of Central Vietnam and Highland, in such fields as economy, culture, education and health care. Training bachelors, engineers, medical doctors, architects and dentists who not only possess good knowledge on their specialty but also have the skills and capacity for application, life-time self-study and self-research. Providing the society with intellectuals who are patriotic, honest, benevolent, faithful and ambitious to improve themselves towards the true, the good and the  beautiful. These intellectuals will be the key resource to build socialism and contribute to the industrialization and modernization of the country. Up to now, Hue University has provided the country with more than 65,000 bachelors, hundreds of Masters, Medical Specialists, and PhDs. Many of them have become intellectuals, socio-political

activists, scientists, professors, and artists who wholeheartedly devote their talents to the development of the country. The quality of training is a prerequisite for the sustainable development of Hue University. A well-qualified system combines the following factors: - raising input quality: Hue University has been known as a serious and impartial entrance examination  center. Thus, students and their parents will find Hue University a reliable place to study and to prepare for their future chosen careers. - arranging reasonable training management: there must be a rational decentralised administration between Hue University and its affiliated colleges to, on one hand, effectively use the common potential, and on the other hand, maximize the specific characteristics of each college. - building material facilities for teaching and studying activities; setting up common services to create good conditions for students to fully promote their abilities in studying and in doing research. - reforming the syllabus and higher education teaching methods to promote the ability of self-studying and self-researching of students.

DIVERSIFYING TRAINING FORMATS AND PROGRAMS

Hue University continually expands the training scope and programs to meet the demands of the country and the society.
In addition to the regular training system with various programs, other irregular training formats, such as in-service training, distance learning and address-requested training are organized to satisfy the learning needs of the society. In addition to developing careers in the field of engineering and technology, Hue University also pay attention to preserving traditional careers.At the moment, Hue University has 90 undergraduate training programs specialising in different fields: Social Sciences and Natural Humanities, Sciences, Agriculture, Forestry, Medicine-Pharmacy, Teacher Training, Economics, Culture and Arts, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Material Science, Electronics - Telecommunications, Environment, etc; 54 graduate specialties; 28 specialties for Medical Specialist Level I and Medical Specialist Level II, resident doctors; and 22 specialties for PhD training.
Currently, 81,944 students are receiving various training forms at Hue University. Diversifying training forms to best satisfy the learning demand of the society is one of the strategic development orientations of Hue University.

Hue University is among the biggest universities in Vietnam with a big training scale and a variety of training and vocational training programs.
